SCOT Zimmer Biomet Travelling Fellowship

The SCOT Zimmer Biomet Travelling Fellowship aims to provide support to Scottish Orthopaedic Trainees undertaking fellowship periods of training.

Having been suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it resumed in 2022. The award is made through a competitive submission and interview process.

It is awarded by a panel comprising representatives from all four training regions (usually the TPD) and chaired by a member of the SCOT Committee.

It is kindly supported by a grant from Zimmer Biomet.

Eligibility Criteria:

-Completion of FRCS(Tr & Orth) prior to leaving on fellowship
-Current holder of Scottish NTN
-Agree to present a report at the Summer SCOT meeting after returning
-Agree to write a 1000 word report within 60 days of completion
-Agree for the report to be submitted to the industry sponsor
-Agree to return the grant in its entirety if the stated fellowship is not completed
