We are pleased to welcome the resumption of the SCOT Travelling Fellowship. This will be awarded through a submission and interview process and is aimed at Scottish orthopaedic trainees who leaving for fellowships in 2020.
It will be awarded by a panel comprising representatives from all four training regions (usually the TPD) and chaired by the Chairman of SCOT.
It is supported by a grant from Zimmer Biomet.
-Applications open: 1 November 2019
-Applications close: 29 November 2019
-Interview Panel: 13 December 2019 (via web conference)
-Provision of 70% of grant – 4 weeks prior to leaving
-Provision of 30% of grant – on submission of report and presentation to Summer SCOT meeting
-Completion of FRCS(Tr & Orth) prior to leaving on fellowship
-Current holder of Scottish NTN
-Agree to present a report at the Summer SCOT meeting after returning
-Agree to write a 1000 word report within 60 days of completion
-Agree for the report to be submitted to the industry sponsor
-Agree to return the grant in its entirety if the stated fellowship is not completed
-Understand that 30% of the grant will be withheld pending the report and presentation to SCOT
